Any odd or strange memories from the war: WHAT KIND OF A QUESTION IS THAT. Most heroic thing I saw or did: TOO PERSONAL. Where I was and how I celebrated when I learned the war was over: I WAS ON IE SHIMA---THE MEDICS GAVE EVERYBODY A STIFF DRINK OF ALCOHOL---MEDICINAL OF COURSE. How having gone to war has affected me, what comes to mindwhen I think of the war: EVERYBODY WAS AFFECTED BY THAT DAMN WAR---SOME PHYSICAL --SOME PSYCHOLOGICAL AND OF COURSE A LOT OF FINE YOUNG MEN GAVE THEIR LIVES.
