Ken's Men - Guestbook

I just found a scrap of an envelope in my great grandparents papers from a cousin I did not even
know existed.
His name was Charles E Ansorge 12024688
with the 403rd Bombarment Squadron H

I have no idea how to find any information on him.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I am working on a family book and not only would
like to include him but also to see if he has any
remaining family.

I don't even know if he made it through the war.
I do know he probably was from Il. I also found
a letter from his mother. Her name was Tessie
Leppold (remarried).

Thanks you so much. I have no military background
and don't know where to start.

I have been conducting research on Gen. Kenney, brother to my great-grandfather Orin S. Kenney, for a school project. My research led me to this site and I am so glad I found it. Ever since hearing my great grandmother tell stories of Gen. Kenney when I was a child, I have held him in great esteem and always considered him to be my hero. This site is an affirmation of my belief and confirmation of the quality of a man he was. Thanks to those who continue to maintain this website.

Sincerely,
Chris s***
Great-great nephew of Gen. George Kenney

Admin reply: I have attempted to contact you, but find the e-mail address is no good. Please contact me via Edgammill@aol.com. I have much data on Gen. Kenney.

Awhile back, I googled my Uncle "Ace" Hastings' name. I felt sure he must be somewhere in history on the internet. This website led me to him. He is listed in the 64th SQ. Briefing Room under Commanding Officers, Harold T. "Ace" Hastings. I remember as a young girl hearing stories of his flying at Pearl Harbor during the attack. This could be where he earned his title of "Ace." He has been gone for awhile now. All these men were heros. Wish I had more info on him. He later flew for TWA on international flights.

What 403rd crew was lost on 11/1/1943? Was this an accident or in action, and who was aboard?

My grandfather was in the "Lucky Dicers," and we did not know anything about this website. We are having a patriotic service at our church this weekend and I was putting together a couple of pictures for the display table and decided to search for some info about his squadron on the internet. He was in the 43rd BG, and the 65th squadron. He set fuses and de-fused bombs. He wasn't one of the ones on the planes from what I understand. He's still living and is in his 80s. I always love to hear him tell stories about his time in the Philippines and in Japan.

The Ken's Men sight is very interesting and if possible I would like some help with the 43rd
Bomb Wing B-50 photographs please. The book I am working on ,features the 43rd,s deployment to RAF Brize Norton ,Oxfordshire England ,in 1953.
The B-50's carried " Circle K " tail code. However, there is some dispute about the squadron markings carried during this deployment .Therefore ,if anyone would be so kind as to show me photos of the B-50,s around that date ,I would be extremely grateful.
Sincerely,
Robbie.
