Rabaul mission flew with Gen. Kenney as part of his crew. Funniest or most fun memory of the war: bawled out General Kenney -- who was in khakis w. no insignia. After a while I asked him his name and he said, Gen. Kenney. Not much you can do about it, son." Any odd or strange memories from the war: Komodo dragons. 43rd had the best outhouse in Pacific Where I was and how I celebrated when I learned the warwas over: Was in Denver, Lowry Field, coming from camp into town. Went out on the town with my wife. |
