My dad was Warren Killion, he never talked to me about his life during WWII. He died before I had a chance to hear about this chapter of his life. If anyone remembers him and can share bits of his time in New Guinie, not only would I enjoy hearing but his grand children would also like to hear.

I was a civilian internee (age 13) in Bilibid Prison, Manila in January, 1945. We saw a B-24 get shot down, and watched the crewman try to parachute to safety. Sadly, some didn't make it. I believe this plane was with a squadron based, since late December 1944 or early January 1945 on Mindoro Island. I would very much like to know what squadron this plane was from and, if possible, the names of the crew and what happened to them. This would let me share the story of what we saw with their families, a story that my dad wrote up in his memoirs "Sunrise to Sunrise".

My uncle was Major Merrill F. Sargent, Commander 63rd Sqdn,43rd Bombardment Group, from 29 Aug 44 to 9 Jan 45. He was killed while trying to take off from OWI Island along with a number of officers and enlisted. He has a son William Sargent who was an Air Force pilot and lives in Montana

My father, Thomas R. Smith of Brooklyn N.Y. was a tail gunner and the rank of Staff Sargent completed over 75 missions. He was a crew member of The Old Man; tail # 124403, possibly other planes. I would appreciate any info on his and crews experiences.

I am a former Marine infantryman, but my late father-in-law, Charley Farha, flew with "Ken's Men". He was a gunner/photographer. As I understand it he was on a B-24J. Would like to correspond with any members of the 43rd BG who might remember Charley. I am also a model builder and would like to build a replica of the B-24J "Ken's Men" if some other modeler can recommend a set of decals in 1/48 scale.
