Comments: I posted a message yesterday and spelled "hero" with an "e" at the end! I have a BA in English and that drove me nuts all night! Thanks, and God bless each hero who served with Ken's Men.

Comments: My father, Tech Sgt. Harold Hammons, from Jacksonville, Ar., flew 40 combat missions with this group. Unfortunately, I believe he sufferered from ptsd and never said much about the war. He took his life in 1979. He was a heroe to me and his country, as are all of you. May God bless you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Comments: I recently purchased a liquor decanter with a label that says, "Personally selected for Kenneth Gissonne; Rio Rita; 403 Bomb SQ; 43 Grp.
I have enjoyed learning the history of this group of men. Does anyone know when these bottles were given? Was it an anniversary date of some sort for the group?

Comments: My father flew as Ernie Well's co-pilot in the 'Gentleman Jim ' in the 403, the original Mareeba Butchers , until promoted to pilot of his own crew. He made it home and finished the war in Walla Walla WA. as a Captain and instructor. I still have his flight jacket with Mareeba Butchers patch.
