Awhile back, I googled my Uncle "Ace" Hastings' name. I felt sure he must be somewhere in history on the internet. This website led me to him. He is listed in the 64th SQ. Briefing Room under Commanding Officers, Harold T. "Ace" Hastings. I remember as a young girl hearing stories of his flying at Pearl Harbor during the attack. This could be where he earned his title of "Ace." He has been gone for awhile now. All these men were heros. Wish I had more info on him. He later flew for TWA on international flights.

My father served with the 5th 43rd gr. 403 sq. durring WWII, he is gone now, but I would like to thank you for keeping his contribution durring WWII alive for his grandson. I know my son can come to this site and get information about what his Grandpa did durring WWII.

My grandfather was in the "Lucky Dicers," and we did not know anything about this website. We are having a patriotic service at our church this weekend and I was putting together a couple of pictures for the display table and decided to search for some info about his squadron on the internet. He was in the 43rd BG, and the 65th squadron. He set fuses and de-fused bombs. He wasn't one of the ones on the planes from what I understand. He's still living and is in his 80s. I always love to hear him tell stories about his time in the Philippines and in Japan.

On May 8 08 I inquired on this site about my brother who was in the 42rd BG but I didnt put my email address in the inquiry. He was on the B17 piolt was Lt. Barnett and the plane was the Pluto II. They went on on a misssion on6-30-43. I did hear from Ed Gammill from the association.

The Ken's Men sight is very interesting and if possible I would like some help with the 43rd
Bomb Wing B-50 photographs please.The book I am working on ,features the 43rd,s deployment to RAF Brize Norton ,Oxfordshire England ,in 1953.
The B-50's carried " Circle K " tail code. However, there is some dispute about the squadron markings carried during this deployment .Therefore ,if anyone would be so kind as to show me photos of the B-50,s around that date ,I would be extremely grateful.

Looking up information on my broyyher Sgt Donald Carlson who was a crew member of the B 17 Pluto II that was shot down on June 30 1943 His pilot was Lt Harold Barrnett. This site has been real interesting
